WSET Level 2 Three Day Certification Course

Sunday April 19th

Join us at The Mick in partnership with The Somm School for the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, a three day certification experience for wine professionals and serious enthusiasts ready to deepen their knowledge. 

 Class sessions take place Sunday April 19 and Sunday April 26 from 10 AM to 6PM, with the official WSET Level 2 exam on Sunday May 3rd. Over two immersive class days, you will explore major wine regions and grape varieties, refine your tasting technique, and build confidence evaluating wine styles and food pairings through guided tastings. The experience concludes with the official WSET Level 2 certification exam on day three. 

 The experience is $999 per person and includes all three days of the program. This includes $700 for the official WSET Level 2 course and certification exam and $299 for wines, food pairings, service, and all taxes and gratuity.

Join us Monday, April 20 at 6 pm for an intimate wine dinner hosted by Chappellet CEO and owner Cyril Chappellet and his wife Blakesley. Expect beautiful wines, thoughtful pairings, and a night that feels equal parts elevated and fun.

Featured wines include Signature Chenin Blanc, Sangiacomo Chardonnay, Mountain Cuvée, and Cabernet Franc, with a possible bonus pour of their Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon for a little extra magic.

Join us at The Mick for a special Cinco de Mayo Pre-Game Wine Dinner in partnership with Compa Spirits. 

This one night experience will feature a multi course menu from Chef Brent Menke paired with a lineup of Mexican wines that highlights the depth, character, and diversity of Mexico’s growing wine scene. 

 Hosted with Abel Arriaga, owner of Compa Spirits, the evening will spotlight family owned producers and boutique wineries from across Mexico. Compa Spirits is dedicated to bringing authentic Mexican wine and spirits to Arizona while supporting small producers, traditional methods, and the families behind each bottle. 

 Expect bold flavors, thoughtful pairings, and a fresh perspective on Mexican wine in a dinner designed to celebrate culture, craftsmanship, and hospitality.

Experience an unforgettable evening at The Mick featuring the wines of Nicolis Winery, one of the most respected family estates in Italy’s Valpolicella Classica.

With roots spanning generations, Nicolis is celebrated for crafting elegant, expressive wines that capture the richness and tradition of the region, from vibrant Valpolicella to deeply complex Amarone.

The evening will be hosted by Sofia Nicolis, representing the third generation of the family estate. Raised among the vineyards of Valpolicella and now working alongside her father, Giuseppe, and brother, Angelo, Sofia brings a deeply personal connection to the land along with a modern, global perspective. Her approach reflects a philosophy grounded in tradition while embracing authenticity and refined elegance.

Chef Brent Menke presents a five-course dinner thoughtfully designed to complement each wine, guiding guests through a curated progression from fresh, expressive styles to the depth and intensity of Amarone and Amarone Riserva.

Seating is limited to 20 guests.
